The construction for the Hong Kong International Airport Midfield Concourse is now well advanced.  The concourse has five levels with a total floor area of 105,000 square metres.  There are 20 aircraft parking stands, including two Code F (A380) stands.  The design incorporates a series of green features such as an optimised glazed facade, dramatic north facing rooflights, high-efficiency water cooled chillers and over 20,000 LED lights.  More than 1,200 square metres of solar panels are installed on the roof to harness renewable energy.  Aedas is the Architect for Lead Consultant, Mott MacDonald-Arup join Venture.
